Our goal is to raise $5000 to be awarded as cash prizes to the winners of next year's Sustain Haiti annual Business Plan Competition!
Each year, as part of its Microenterprise Support project, Sustain Haiti sponsors a business plan competition. This year's competition will take place in August, and is already looking promising with some fantastic business plans being developed. We will be giving away $2,500 in cash prizes to this year's winners, to be used as seed money to start their businesses.
We are already looking to expand and improve next year's business plan competition. One way that we're going to do this is by at least doubling the amount awarded as prizes. IF we can double the prize money for next year's competition, we feel we can more than double the impact of the competition.
So there you have it. $5,000 to help Haiti's entrepreneurs to start businesses and create opportunity. Ultimately, that's what Sustain Haiti is all about: providing resources and opportunities so that Haitian people can get to work addressing Haitian problems through uniquely Haitian solutions.
